Do you heart Google?
July 28, 2008
Since the call volume is down today, I’ve been spending a lot of time catching up reading news articles (I was specifically looking for an update on the Caylee Anthony case, but haven’t found anything yet) and reading some blogs. On Cnn.com, I found something pretty interesting for us Google lovers.
For the record, I love Google. I Google things all day long. I love Googling myself, phone numbers, correct spellings, images, song lyrics, etc.
But, it looks like they have some competition!
Cuil (pronounced Cool) is the new search engine on the block, created by an ex-Google employee. She actually sold Google her previous creation and they used it in 2004 to update their search engine. This one she is keeping for herself, and it’s supposed to be pretty big.
I’ve checked it out myself, and while it takes some getting used to it looks kind of impressive. I don’t think it will become my #1 search engine for awhile, though, because it lacks way too many of the features Google offers that I have come to love and expect. Some day, though. Some day…
